Next EU Presidency Says Some EU Tax Bills Need ‘Reconsideration’

The EU should have a rethink on some of the tax bills it has proposed, according to Polish Finance Minister Andrzej Domanski on Wednesday.

Asked what Poland plans to do with a number of bills currently being negotiated - including two bills tackling tax avoidance and one that would consolidate a common tax base across the bloc - Domanski said “some of them need reconsideration,” without referring to specific bills.

Those bills are currently stuck, with EU countries concerned with the administrative burden tax authorities might encounter if the bills are enacted.
