NFL’s Washington Football Team Changes Name to ‘Commanders’

The Washington Football team is now the “Commanders,” the team announced Wednesday.

• Washington’s NFL team announced in July 2020 it would retire its old name, an offensive term for Native Americans, and played as the “Football Team” for two seasons
