Scott M. Masaitis has joined Nutter as a partner with the tax department in New York, the firm said Tuesday.
Masaitis served as the leader of the national M&A strategic tax practice at KPMG, according to Nutter.
He will provide counsel on domestic corporate tax, tax structuring, tax due diligence, cross-border transactions, tax modeling, tax efficient financing, consolidated group issues, and international taxation, Nutter said.
Masaitis will also assist clients with structuring tax-efficient transactions, analyzing merger agreements, providing tax opinions on transactions, and managing various technical tax issues related to C corporations, S corporations, partnerships, and limited liability companies, according to the firm.
