Four tax attorneys are among 20 attorneys who have been elevated to partner at Ropes & Gray, the firm announced Monday.
Sam Duncan in New York is a tax lawyer who advises asset management clients on all tax aspects of fund formation and complex sponsor transactions. He also has experience counseling private equity clients on tax matters in investment transactions.
Brandon Dunn in Boston provides commercial tax advice to private equity firms and strategic clients on mergers and acquisitions, dispositions, and restructurings. In addition, he guides global asset managers on all aspects of their fundraising and fund structuring.
Tristan Evans-Wilent in New York helps private equity firms navigate tax issues in acquisitive transactions and recapitalizations. His experience spans both the large-cap and middle-market private equity spaces.
Franziska Hertel in Boston provides tax advice to clients in the asset management and nonprofit sectors. With experience across registered funds, private funds, and tax-exempt organizations, she works with sponsors, investors, universities and healthcare systems on a variety of matters.
The promotions are effective as of Nov. 1, 2023, Ropes & Gray said.
