Shartsis Friese Adds Carol Wang as Tax Practice Senior Counsel

Carol Wang has joined Shartsis Friese as a senior counsel in the tax practice, the firm said Tuesday.

Wang has experience in investment fund formations and offerings, sponsor liquidity and minority investment transactions, fund- and sponsor-level tax considerations from investments, and sponsor-level economic and tax planning and structuring, according to Shartsis Friese. She has also worked on US inbound and outbound tax law and the structuring of cross-border transactions.

She has served as a partner at Kirkland & Ellis in the tax department and as legislative counsel for the Joint Committee on Taxation, Shartsis Friese said.
