Vinson & Elkins Hires Vinay Prabhakar as Tax Partner in New York

Vinay Prabhakar joined Vinson & Elkins as a partner in its tax practice in New York, the firm announced Wednesday.

Prabhakar advises clients on the tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions, financings, capital market transactions, derivatives, and structured products. He has first-hand experience structuring private equity investments involving renewables, liquefied natural gas, midstream, and digital infrastructure projects, the firm said.

He joins from Global Infrastructure Partners LLC, now part of BlackRock Inc.
