Changes to federal environmental permitting laws now “seem likely,” a top Biden administration official said Tuesday, giving some of the administration’s clearest guidance to date on its plans.
The White House Council on Environmental Quality hopes to be in “an active coordinating phase” before the end of the year to revise the regulations under the National Environmental Policy Act, CEQ Chair Brenda Mallory said, speaking at a webinar hosted by the Business Forward Foundation think tank.
