Canada will make more money from enforcing sales taxes against large foreign digital firms than expected, a federal watchdog said Wednesday.
The federal government will reap C$1.3 billion ($1.02 billion) over the next five years by imposing Goods and Services Tax or Harmonized Sales Tax (GST/HST) on companies selling online products and services like Netflix, Spotify, and Google, the Parliamentary Budget Officer said in an analysis.
