EU to Help Organize Response to US Rejection of Global Tax Deal

The EU will work with allies in the OECD to formulate a response to the US rebuke of the global tax agreement, the bloc’s top tax official said.

European Union representatives will meet at the start of April “with the broader group of allies within the OECD” to come up with “a calibrated and smart response” to the US’ move, EU tax commissioner Wopke Hoekstra said Thursday, without giving further details.
