Compliance with an international standard on the exchange of financial account information between tax administrations has improved, covering more jurisdictions and with the necessary legal frameworks increasingly in place, the OECD said Wednesday.
In a report on the Standard for Automatic Exchange of Financial Account Information in Tax Matters (AEOI Standard), the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development said 106 jurisdictions swapped taxpayer information in 2020 and 2021, up from nearly 100 in 2019.
