The U.K. is still working on legislation aimed at making it simpler for companies to move their incorporation to the country.
“This policy will require legislation to be enacted. However, more detailed analysis and engagement is needed before that is possible,” the government said in response to a consultation on the new regime.
- Announced in October 2021, the re-domiciliation regime aims to enable foreign-incorporated companies to change their place of incorporation whilst maintaining their legal identity as a corporate body.
