A bill to broaden eligibility for California’s film and television tax credit but keep annual funding at the current level of $330 million passed the Senate on Tuesday, setting up a conflict with Gov. Gavin Newsom (D).

Senators voted 34-1 to pass the bill (S.B. 630) by Sen. Ben Allen (D), sending it to the Assembly for consideration.
