Oncor Electric Delivery Co. can’t challenge the $55 million market valuation of its transmission lines in one Texas county because it’s bound by a predecessor’s settlement, the county appraisal district told the state high court.
Oncor is challenging an appeals court ruling that predecessor Sharyland Utilities LP’s agreement with the Wilbarger County Appraisal District made final the value of the lines within the county for 2019. The company argued in a Nov. 1 merits brief that the settlement doesn’t prevent the courts from correcting a clerical error that over-calculated the length of power lines in the county.
