NYC Panel Adds Three More Property Tax Reform Hearings

The New York City Advisory Commission on Property Tax scheduled three more borough hearings in June to vet an initial set of recommendations by the panel.

The additional hearings will take place in Queens on June 9, the Bronx on June 14, and Manhattan on June 16.

In late April, the commission announced it was ending a 14-month postponement of the hearings triggered by the Covid-19 pandemic. Efforts to reform the city’s property tax system, which many have decried as unfair, has languished due to the pandemic and politics.
