The Senate Finance Committee advanced Marjorie Rollinson, President Joe Biden’s pick to be IRS chief counsel, back to the Senate floor on a bipartisan vote Wednesday.
The panel voted 16-11 to move Rollinson’s nomination to the full Senate. GOP Sens. Bill Cassidy (La.) and Thom Tillis (N.C.) joined with Democrats again to move the nomination along.
The panel had voted last year to advance Rollinson but the Senate failed to act on her nomination before the end of the year. The White House renominated her this month and she now awaits a Senate floor vote.
