Audit Inspections Director Tapped to Join US Oversight Board (1)

A leader at the US audit regulator and former Big Four staffer will join the agency’s board in one of its two seats reserved for accountants.

George Botic, who is director of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board’s division of inspections, will serve a five-year term on the regulatory board, succeeding Duane DesParte whose second term ends in October, the Securities and Exchange Commission said on Wednesday.
