The Australian government is facing scrutiny over its use of Big Four consultants following revelations that a former PwC partner leaked sensitive tax information.

PwC Australia’s former international tax chief, Peter-John Collins, was banned for two years from working as a tax agent after he was found to have shared confidential government plans for tackling multinational tax avoidance with his firm colleagues, the national Tax Practitioners Board said last month.
