IRS Criminal Investigation Unit Names New Chief as Lee Retires

The IRS law enforcement arm has a new chief starting next month.

Guy Ficco will take over the top position at IRS Criminal Investigation from Jim Lee, who is retiring at the end of March, according to a Wednesday announcement. Ficco will start April 1 and oversee 3,200 employees, including many who investigate thousands of financial crimes.

Ficco is currently the deputy chief and has been with the agency for 29 years.
