Big Four accounting firm KPMG LLP has tapped a former SEC commissioner to join its U.S. board, adding securities enforcement and regulatory experience to the ranks of outside directors now overseeing the partnership, the firm said Wednesday.
Roel Campos becomes the third independent director to join KPMG’s board since 2018, when the firm pledged to diversify it top leadership to rebuild trust with clients after a scheme to cheat on the firm’s regulatory inspections was uncovered.
