KPMG LLP on Friday announced a large round of partner appointments at its UK arm, the second big boost it has announced this year as its consulting and advisory businesses grow.
The firm said it had appointed 108 new partners, bringing the total to 781—up from 571 in 2021. In April, it announced 95 new partners in a stark acceleration from 2021, when just 56 new partners were added. It has now increased its partner count by close to 40% in just 12 months.
- “The breadth of our expertise enables our firm to support our clients with their most complex challenges, which is more important than ever in the current economic and geopolitical climate,” KPMG UK CEO Jon Holt said in a statement.
- KPMG said that it had hired another 47 new partners into the firm over the past year, bringing the total to 155. Of these, 59 are in consulting, 33 in tax and legal, 30 in deal advisory, 23 in audit and 10 in central sales and services.
- KPMG UK’s revenue grew 10% to £2.4 billion ($2.7 billion) in its fiscal year through September 2021, the last period for which it has reported data. Consulting grew 15% in the period, while audit, its largest division, posted a 5% revenue increase.
