SEC Names Longtime US Audit Board Leader to Helm Regulator (1)

George Botic, a member of the US audit board and its former inspections director, will steward the regulator after its current leader steps down this week, the SEC said late Monday.

Erica Williams said previously that she would resign as chair of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board at the request of Paul Atkins, the chair of the Securities and Exchange Commission.
