Simpsons, Will Ferrell Among California Film Tax Credit Awardees

The second Simpsons movie, a reboot of the romantic comedy “13 Going on 30,” and a movie based on Walt Disney Co.'s television series “Phineas and Ferb” are among projects receiving the latest round of California film tax credit allocations announced Thursday.

The 38 feature film awardees that collectively received nearly $200 million included animated projects for the second time after the credit was expanded last year to include the category.
