The Tax Practitioners Board has launched an investigation into a PwC Australia employee as part of a second probe into revelations the firm leaked confidential government information to clients, the board’s top official said.
PricewaterhouseCoopers leadership is being investigated over whether it acted with “reasonable care” by promoting tax schemes to clients based on the leaked information, among other governance issues, the board’s CEO Michael O’Neill told a Senate inquiry Tuesday.
