The Public Company Accounting Oversight Board has appointed an acting leader to guide its registration and inspections division when its current director leaves in late October to take a seat on the board, according to a Thursday news release.
Christine Gunia serves as deputy director of the division’s Global Network Firm Inspection Program, making her responsible for overseeing the inspections of six of the largest domestic accounting firms as well as their non-US affiliated firms, the PCAOB said.
