The US audit board has tapped a retired agency leader to run its investigations unit while it searches for a permanent enforcement director.
Mark Adler will serve as acting enforcement director for the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board, stepping into the role for a second time as current director Patrick Bryan is set to leave the regulator this week, the board said Wednesday.
