Colorado Decreases Unemployment Insurance Tax Rates for 2026

Colorado decreased its 2026 unemployment insurance tax rates, according to an update on the Labor and Employment Department website.

Total combined unemployment insurance tax rates for 2026 range from 0.72% to 4.58% for positive-rated employers and from 5.895% to 10.85% for negative-rated employers, according to the website. The total rates consist of an employer’s premium rate, a support surcharge, and a solvency surcharge.

For 2025, total tax rates range from 0.81% to 12.34% for experienced employers.
