Connecticut’s hourly minimum wage will increase to $16.35, from $15.69, Jan. 1, 2025, Gov. Ned Lamont (D) said in a Sept. 27 news release.
This is the second year that Connecticut’s minimum wage is adjusted annually. Announcements in future years can be expected by Oct. 15 to take effect Jan. 1, the news release said. The news release confirms Bloomberg Tax’s Aug. 28 calculations.
The maximum tip credit will increase to $9.97 for hotel and restaurant employees and $8.12 for bartenders, from $9.31 or $7.46.
