The hourly minimum wage in the District of Columbia will rise to $17.95 effective July 1, not $18 as previously reported.
The District of Columbia’s updated minimum wage notice states that the rate will rise by 2.7% to $17.95 from $17.50. An earlier version of the notice stated that the inflation-adjusted increase would be 2.8%, which would result in a $18 rate.
The tipped minimum wage is still scheduled to rise to $12 from $10 effective July 1, according to the notice.
The District of Columbia has yet to update its minimum wage poster on its website.
