Maine will continue to use Schedule A when determining unemployment insurance tax rates for experienced employers in 2025, according to an Oct. 28 press release from Maine’s Labor Department.
Schedule A contains the lowest possible unemployment tax rate under state law, according to the press release. For context, Maine’s 2024 unadjusted unemployment insurance tax rates under Schedule A range from 0.28% to 6.03% under Schedule A when including assessments for the competitive-skills scholarship fund and unemployment program administrative fund.
