The hourly minimum wage in Malibu, California, will rise to $17.91 from $17.27 effective July 1, according to an update on the city’s website.
Malibu released an updated minimum wage poster, which is available in English and Spanish.
The minimum wage increased by 3.7%, reflecting an identical increase in the consumer price index for the Los Angeles region, according to the website.
This is the first time that Malibu raised its minimum wage since July 1, 2024. The city suspended the scheduled increase last year because of the January 2025 Palisades fire.
