Montgomery County, Maryland, announced increases to its three minimum wage rates in a March 1 press release.
The minimum wage will be $17.15 for large employers and $15.50 for mid-sized employers effective July 1, according to the release. Large employers are employers with at least 51 employees, and mid-sized employers are employers with 11 to 50 employees.
The minimum wage for small employers will remain $15, according to the release. Small employers are employers with fewer than 10 employees. The minimum wage rose to $15 on Jan. 1 in accordance with state law.
