The per-payment limit for same-day Automated Clearing House transactions will increase to $10 million from $1 million on Sept. 17, 2027, according to an April 27 press release.
The current same-day transaction limit of $1 million has been in effect since March 18, 2022, when the limit rose from $100,000.
The press release was released by Nacha, a nonprofit trade association that establishes the rules governing the exchange of commercial electronic payments, including direct deposit payments, through a national network of automated clearing houses.
