The hourly minimum wage in South Dakota will rise to $11.20 from $10.80 effective Jan. 1, 2024, according to an Oct. 13 press release from the state labor and regulation department.
The minimum wage for tipped employees will rise to $5.60, according to the press release. Tipped employees are individuals who customarily and regularly receive more than $35 a month in tips, under state law.
