Tennessee’s unemployment tax rates are unchanged for the first half of 2025, according to the Labor and Workforce Development Department website.
Tax rates for experienced employers are determined using Premium Table 6 from Jan. 1 to June 30, according to the website. Premium Table 6 contains tax rates ranging from 0.01% to 2.3% for positive-rated employers and from 5% to 10% for negative-rated employers.
Tennessee is the only state to determine experienced employer unemployment tax rates on a semiannual basis.
