USCIS Updates Form I-9 and E-Verify

The US Citizenship and Immigration Services announced revisions to Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification, and updates to E-Verify on April 2.

The revised Form I-9 has an edition date of Jan. 20, 2025, and an expiration date of May 31, 2027. Two previous versions of the form will remain valid until their respective expiration dates of July 31, 2026, and May 31, 2027, according to the update. Employers utilizing the form expiring July 31, 2026, must update their electronic systems by that date to reflect the May 31, 2027, expiration date.
