Seeing Women Rising in the Ranks—Accountant Corrin Woodard

What kinds of changes have you seen in diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts, and how are you engaging with those efforts?

When I was working with larger firms, I saw a big shift in focusing on DEI. There was an increase in women rising to the ranks to manager, director, and partner positions. There was focus on appreciating thought diversity and an open dialogue with staff to understand how the firms could help them feel comfortable and appreciated for being themselves.

I was active in DEI efforts at the firms I worked with, and now that I’m a firm owner, it is a focus of how we hire, manage our teams, and deliver our services. There is still a lot of work to do in this industry, and we all need to do our part!
