Los Angeles’ minimum wage increase for hotel and airport workers took effect Sept. 8 after a petition against the increase failed, according to a Sept. 8 press release from the city clerk.
Ordinance 188610 raises the hourly minimum wage for hotel and airport workers to $30 by 2028. It was scheduled to take effect on June 29, but a referendum petition was filed against the ordinance, suspending it while the petition was under review.
