Minnesota’s hourly minimum wage will rise to $11.13 for 2025, according to an Aug. 26 press release from the state Department of Labor and Industry.
The announcement confirms Bloomberg Tax’s Aug. 8 calculations.
The minimum wage increase for employers will vary depending on the size of the employer. Minnesota is replacing its two-tiered minimum wage system in 2025 with a single minimum wage rate for all covered employers. Consequently, the $11.13 rate will be a $0.28 increase for those that are currently large employers and a $2.28 increase for those that are currently small employers.
